President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner met with Colombia’s Juan Manuel Santos at the Government House, where both leaders have signed trade and cooperation agreements.
Santos arrived at the government house at 11:45am to meet the Head of State in a private meeting with no access to the press.
After signing agreements on urban and long distance transportation, ports, waterways, and technological exchange intended to promote commercial ties between both South American nations, the leaders gave a press conference in which President Santos remarked that «Colombia is in sync with President cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s policies.»
Likewise, officials of both countries will hold conversations at the Argentine Women’s Room of the Government House.
The Foreign Ministry has called the encounter as the start of a new phase in the relationship between Argentina and Colombia.
