BA governor celebrates Kirchnerite triumph

Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli rejoiced today Kirchnerite’s large victory on the polls yesterday giving Victory Front candidates a vast advantage for upcoming elections. “This is the pungency, the rationality of people thinking and deciding throughout the electoral ban,” said the governor.

“The greatest change is just to carry on as we are and not to jump into uncertainty. I believe people on reflected the international context. While the world dives into recession, here we are expanding. A lot of factors come into play. There was a vast middle class participation,” Scioli remarked.

The governor also reaffirmed his friendship to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. “I met her at Continental Hotel. I gave her big hug and thanked her for all the support and effort, both institutionally and personally, for all that she has achieved and this overwhelming popular support.”

During interviews to local media, Scioli said he seeks reelection and fought rumors he had distanced himself from CFK by saying he had a “warn, affectionate and unforgettable welcome” upon arriving the Victory Front’s bunker yesterday.

“I don’t mind the rumors. I have it clear as I talk to her, we are a team. And we have been showing Argentina important results,” he stressed. The governor also confirmed having received a call from his opponent Francisco De Narvaéz. “I have congratulated the other contenders. I’ve asked them to positively contribute to the province.”

“When dealing with a context of intricate opposition – which does not generate great confidence – I give preference to coherence, virtues, and the compromise that have allowed me to press on helping people´.”
