Union for Social Development presidential candidate Ricardo Alfonsín says he hopes to finish up in second place in the Sunday’s primary elections, with a “wide margin” over fellow candidate Eduardo Duhalde.
Likewise Alfonsín acknowledged that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner have primary elections, but doubts she will reach 40 percent of votes.
“I think we will end up in second place, with a wide margin of votes over the third, whom I believe will be Duhalde,” he said.
“The low level of voters will benefit the Kirchnerites. They have done nothing or very little to encourage people’s participation in the primaries,” Alfonsín added.
“We are decreasing our difference in votes with the Victory Front every day,” the Radical party leader added
Alfonsín also said that ally “Francisco De Narváez will become the next Buenos Aires province governor and he will be good to its residents.”
