If the government lifts restrictions on dollar sales the price of the US currency would drop in the parallel market, the president of Buenos Aires Stock Exchange Adelmo Gabbi considered, adding the economy is in a five-point situation.
«All the countries in the world and people tend to search for freedom. What will always determine the value of the currency will be the law of supply and demand ,” Gabbi stated hours after the financial entity decided to postpone its 165° anniversary celebrations due to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s health condition.
In statements to La Red radio station, Gabbi said that the dollar registered hikes to remain steady in the last two days probably “due to the massive sale of public bonds by ANSES or by some friendly hands.”
“I believe it’s always better to have freedom,” Gabbi continued referring to the dollar market. “We Argentines have fought to choose our governments freely, and I think it’s the moment to live in the global village.»
“There are absolutely reasonable tensions,” Gabbi warned, that prompt “a very important monetary issuance.”
«For now, there is an interesting investment exercise and the stock exchange has been solid in the last three days despite the negative results of Brazilian and Chinese stock markets,” he added.
He referred to the economic situation considering it is going through “a five-point” situation over ten.
