‘People have overwhelmingly supported our work’

City Mayor candidate Horacio Rodríguez Larreta this morning celebrated his wide victory in yesterday’s elections considering it was a “spectacular” election and expressing confidence ahead of the runoff to be held in two weeks, against ECO’ candidate Martín Lousteau.

“The result was very good. We will continue the campaign today,” Larreta told reporters at a press conference held with his running mate Diego Santilli, and Mayor Mauricio Macri, who received a big political boost in his race for presidency. «People have overwhelmingly supported our work,” he stressed.

Asked about the runoff to be held on July 19 against Lousteau, he said “you start over before every election.”

With 98.48 percent of the votes counted, Rodríguez Larreta was getting 45,51 percent of the votes while Lousteau 25.5 percent.
