US dollar closes half a cent up at 8.98 pesos

Meanwhile, the so called “blue” dollar ended steady at 12.64 pesos, after dropping six cents yesterday, the first fall in seven sessions amid few operations and an increase in the demand for dollars.
This way, the gap between the «blue» and the official rate stands at 40.8 percent.
In addition, the blue chip swap rate decreased three cents to close at 11.80 pesos today, while the stock exchange rate also dropped three cents to end at 11.59 pesos.
