US dollar trades at 8.95 pesos, ‘blue’ higher at 12.53 pesos

The US dollar closed up at $8.95 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.

The Central Bank added 50 million dollars to its reserves today, building on some 100 million dollars purchased during the first days of May as a consequence of the 584.86 million dollars raised by the cereal industry.

However, the number was 37,9% lower than the one registered during the same period in 2014. Even so, the ammount was 0,6% higher compared to last week.

Meanwhile, the so called “blue” dollar finished one cent up at $12.54 pesos, having already fallen 17 cents over the first days of May.
