Lawmaker Darío Giustozzi ratified his decision to leave the Renewal Front (RF) commanded by Sergio Massa saying he felt “disappointed over so many mistakes and contradictions.”
“That space (the RF) can not rule a country under such conditions,” Giustozzi told the Mitre radio station today considering that the opposition coalition led by Massa had only “good proposals made by good technical teams.” “To rule a country other things are needed, another attitude.”
“(The FR) lost its original essence, its renewing strength. There were changes and entries for wrong,” the ex mayor of the Buenos Aires province locality of Almirante Brown insisted but referred to no particular name. “Leaders with neither experience nor common sense arrive, distorting what we accomplished in the (legislative elections of) 2013,” Giustozzi affirmed.
Queried about if his decision to shut the RF door was fueled by the arrival of Franciso De Narváez, Giustozzi considered it a “minor subject” but warned De Narváez “does not represent the renovation,» having «an extremely high negative image.”
“I expected mistakes to be corrected, but the contrary happened. (Mistakes) deepened and that forced to make the decision,” he said. “I felt powerless facing the advance of an internal atmosphere that was going against me. There were things I confirmed that left me stunned: I could not stand in for one minute anyrmoe.”
The MP still did not confirm an alliance with another political party or a comeback to the ruling Victory Front (FpV). “I have always been a person who holds dialogue with everybody, with the government and with the opposition. We are not deciding on no kind of alliances so far.”
