Copa Sudamericana champions River Plate continued their uneven start to the 2015 season with a spectacular draw away to Arsenal de Sarandí, coming back to tie 3-3 thanks to a late strike from Rodrigo Mora.
Arsenal’s goals came Ramiro Carrera, who netted in the ninth and 45th minute of the encounter, and Damián Pérez, with a wonderful looping effort in the 21st minute.
Gonzalo Martínez briefly brought the scores level for the Millonario in the first half at 1-1, before Pérez and Carrera pushed the hosts ahead. After the break, however, Uruguayan striker Mora cut the difference to just one goal.
And Mora was on hand in the 43rd minute to seal the draw in a six-goal thriller, the third in five Primera División games so far for unbeaten River.
