A. Fernández: Raid on Lagomarsino’s house should have been made long ago

Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández said that the police raid on the house of Diego Lagomarsino, the information technology expert who lent late Alberto Nisman the gun that killed him, should have been made “long ago.”

The official said to reporters earlier today that “in any other country in the world, (the house of) someone who lends the gun (Diego Lagomarsino) that ends up being the gun that causes the death of a State prosecutor” would have been raided long ago.

“It is just common sense, nothing more,” he stressed.

However, Fernández added: “I am not the one to question the work of the Judiciary, that is not my job.”

He pointed out that “judges and the Judiciary should not suffer pressures of any kind” and dismissed any pressure from the Executive. “The Judiciary makes the decisions it has to make and there is no one pressuring it.”
