DAIA: This news has shocked us all

“This news has shocked as all,” assured Julio Schlosser, head of DAIA Delegation of Argentine-Israeli Associations, after hearing the accusation filed earlier today by prosecutor Alberto Nisman, against President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, among other government officials.

“We received this news with strong concern. For the DAIA and AMIA [local Jewish institutions] it’s a vital matter. The concern we have is because there is a prosecutor in a situation that for us, means an unexpected change in events,” Schlosser assured to the Agencia Judía de Noticias news agency.

The DAIA head affirmed he is in permanent contact with the organisation’s board of directors, including his deputy, secretary and treasurer.

In addition, he revealed his wish to speak with Nisman in the coming hours.

“We are now waiting to see if we can meet the attorney to know in details something we heard about through the media. We want to speak with him this afternoon. It shocked us all. We pursue the path of the courts, the constitution, and we believe that the most prudent thing to do is to go to the sources,” Schlosser concluded.
