The informal rate of the US currency, the so called «blue» dollar», closed down by five cents at 13.10 pesos in Buenos Aires City underground exchange houses. Yesterday, it ended two cents lower at 13.15 pesos, following Monday’s 32-cents hike.
Meanwhile, the US dollar traded half a cent up and closed at 8.57 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices. The gap between the «blue» and the official rate is at 52.9 percent.
The blue chip swap rate fell two cents at 11.65 pesos, and the stock exchange rate climbed 17 cents at 11.79 pesos.
The Central Bank swelled its foreign currency reserves again yesterday, buying u$s 200 millions, aiming at keeping the US dollar official rate steady. The Bank’s reserves level reached u$s 30,440 millions.
