A federal court has rejected the nullity petition filed by Amado Boudou’s lawyers that aimed at stopping a trial against President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s second-in-command for alleged irregularities in the purchase of a Honda vehicle in 1992.
The decision by the 2nd courtroom of the Federal Court puts the vice president on the edge of facing oral and public trial following a ruling by Judge Claudio Bonadío prosecuting him in the car papers case.
According to Bonadío’s prosecution order, the ex economy minister during Ms. Kirchner’s first term in office transferred a Honda CRX car under his name using “fake and forged documentation.”
