After early-morning walkout, transport unions resume services

Train and bus lines were slowly normalising their services following a 3-hour walkout that affected early commuters since 4 am on Thursday. Flights at the Aeroparque Metropolitan airport will begin to take off at around 11 am.
Unions ended assemblies at 7 am and workers were heading back to their posts. Mitre, Sarmiento and Roca train lines – connecting the Greater Buenos Aires with the capital – were ready to resume activities, head of La Fraternidad union Omar Maturano told reporters.
The UTA transport union lifted their assemblies around 6.30 am with urban transportation companies already starting to provide service. The 59 and 102 lines were already running at the BA City area of Constitución.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Argentine Association of Air Traffic Workers (AAA) Juan Pablo Brey and leader of the Superior Personnel Air Trade Workers Union (UPSA) Rubén Fernández informed that assemblies in Aeroparque and Ezeiza were expected to end soon after 8 am.
However, the secretary general of the Pilots Union (APLA) said that flights will begin to take off around 11 am. He explained that once the assemblies are over, “there will be delays of two or three hours to resume service.”
