‘We will receive a year-end bonus no matter what’

The anti-government CGT splinter leader and teamster’s union secretary Hugo Moyano stated that workers will receive a year-end bonus “no matter what” and renewed his demands for the government to exempt annual complementary salaries from the income tax.

“The year-end bonus is there. We will receive it no matter what,” Moyano fired during an interview with América radio. He confirmed that the workers he lead will join the three-hour strike called for Thursday by over 30 different transport unions.

He reiterated his claims for a reform in the income taxes, which has been strongly refused by the government. “The people demand an answer (from the government) regarding the income tax, because the holidays are coming and it will be deducted from the complementary salary, and it is not fair,” Moyano said.

The teamster accused the government of “committing a great injustice.”
