The informal rate of the US dollar rose seven cents in today’s trading to close at 13.55 pesos, having fallen earlier on. The parallel currency yesterday closed 10-cents higher, as the ‘blue’ dollar market continues to show high volatility.
Meanwhile, the blue-chip swap rate fell 16 cents to 11.93 pesos, breaking the 12-peso mark. The stock exchange rate dropped 26 cents to close at 12.01 pesos, its lowest value since August 8.
The US dollar advanced half a cent to 8.53 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.
Central Bank reserves yesterday climbed 506 million dollars to reach US$28.78 billion, after the country received the second part of a multibillion dollar currency swap with China’s Central Bank.
