The so called blue dollar was down six cents at 14.62 pesos, following yesterday’s three-cent climb. Activity in the parallel market continued in much reduced volumes, after recent pressure from the government and a spate of raids on unofficial exchange establishments.
The blue-chip swap rate also registered losses, plunging 11 cents to 13.06 pesos, while the stock exchange rate fell 17 cents to 13.50 pesos.
Meanwhile, the formal rate of the US currency advanced half a cent at 8.515 pesos in Buenos Aires banks and foreign exchange offices.
