VP Boudou a step away from trial

Federal Prosecutor Guillermo Marijuán has formally requested Judge Claudio Bonadío that Vicepresident Amado Boudou is brought to trial for allegedly faking the papers of a car bought in 1992. The judge has put an end to the preliminary investigation stage.

Boudou’s indictment was confirmed last week by Buenos Aires City Federal Court II last week.

The Vicepresident had asked the court to dismiss the indictment, arguiging that both him and his former girlfriend Agustina Seguin were victims of National Automobile Registry (RNA) agents who forged the car documents.
