SMATA says Procreauto credits cut down suspensions by 70% in auto industry

The Procreauto plan has cut down suspensions by 70% in auto industry and it “dispels the phantom of unenmployment,” the SMATA Mechanics union said in a statement today.

The union celebrates “the continuity of Procreauto plan announced by the national government and welcomed by car dealers and manufacturers.”

According to the statement released today, the credit scheme “cuts down suspensions by 70%” and it allows workers to envision a possible solution” to the crisis in the auto industry.

“We are aware of the specific problems (in the industry) but we also know that dialogue and commitment lead to the final solution we need,” the union said.
