President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner landed minutes after 10 am in Buenos Aires City Aeroparque airport back from New York, where she addressed the United Nations (UN) General Assembly and Security Council yesterday.
Ms. Kirchner is back in Argentina after a seven-day tour that took her to the Vatican first, where she had a private lunch with Pope Francis, and then to the US, with Argentina’s battle against its holdout creditors on top of her agenda.
Speaking at the UN, Ms. Kirchner accused holdout investors of committing «economic terrorism» and reiterating her wish for a multi-lateral framework to regulate sovereign debt.
