The INDEC national statistics bureau has informed Argentina’s trade balance increased 145 percent in August, compared to the same month the year before.
The surplus more than doubled to reach US$899 million over the course of the month, compared to the US$367 million registered in 2013.
Exports registered a 12% drop compared to 2013 at US$6.59 billion, and imports also registered a 20% decrease to US$5.7 billion against last year.
