The informal rate fell back by 10 cents to close at 15 pesos today, after it breached a new record mark yesterday, at 15.10 pesos, pushed by speculation.
The blue-chip swap rate advanced to 13.51 pesos, while the stock exchange rate jumped to 13.73 pesos.
Meanwhile, the US dollar closed a cent higher at 8.44 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.
The Central Bank sold u$s 20 million reserves to counteract the low offer by grain exporters. The watchdog’s reserves went slightly up by u$s 4 millions, totalling u$s 28,265 millions.
