Monday, September 15, 2014 Three aircrafts crash in less than 24 hours

Following the fiery crash of a light aircraft in Nordelta yesterday, two other lightplanes have come down, one in General Villegas and the other near Neuquén city. No fatal casualties have been reported.
Two men, identified as flight instructor Jorge Irastorza and Matías López, were severely wounded this morning around 10 am as the aircraft they were travelling in crashed at General Villegas airfield and caught fire.
Both victims were being treated at the local hospital and will be transferred to a high complexity facility. Irastorza suffered burns in over 90% of his body and López while 20% of his body burnt, the director of Villegas Municipal Hospital Pablo Peralta said.
This is the third aircraft to crash in the country in less than 24 hours.
Yesterday a fatal crash killed the former president of now-defunct airline LAPA in Nordelta -Tigre district- and another lightplane came down at the town of Chos Malal, near Neuquén city. Its four passengers were unharmed, local police reported.
