Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli highlighted today President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s leadership in the Argentine conflict with holdouts, while saying Argentines must act and comment on the matter “with responsibility.”
“There are a lot of pyromaniac firemen that try to spark pessimism in the country,” Scioli said today during the inauguration of a new exit turn in the Buenos Aires–La Plata highway in the Buenos Aires city of Villa Elisa.
“We have to support the President with unity and trust in order to give this traumatic situation a definitive solution. This great karma has generated huge losses in the social, economic and productive aspects of Argentine society,” he added.
Scioli said Argentina has shown “will and payment capacity” as regards the conflict with «vulture funds» over the Argentine defaulted debt, while considering some people are “all the time trying to build apocalyptic scenarios” in order to damage the country.
“There are people who, on the eve of next year’s elections, are nervous and try to distort reality,” the governor said.
