Econmy Minister Axel Kicillof will be flying to Brazil today in the afternoon to join the BRICS summit currently taking place in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, Kicillof’s office has informed.
BRICS country members – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -, kicked off yesterday the bloc’s sixth summit to which President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner had been formally invited by her Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The Fortaleza meeting is expected to fuel the creation of the group’s own development bank and promote a global approach to the emerging world.
Argentina’s economy minister Kicillof will be arriving in Brazil as Argentina fights a fierce legal battle against vulture funds suing the South American country over its defaulted bonds.
