President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will have to take another 24-hour mandatory rest following a laringytis condition, the medical team in charge of the head of state’s health has confirmed. Still, CFK made time to praise the government efforts to renew Argentina’s railway system calling Argentineans to “take care of trains.”
In a statement released today, doctors Marcelo Ballesteros and Daniel Fernández recommend Ms. Kirchner to continue with the “corresponding treatment” as she takes a new 24-hour leave to recover from a «pharyngeal laryngitis» condition.
But during the mandatory rest, the president took some time today to praise the arrival of 72 new train carriages that are part of the government’s investment in the renovation of the Sarmiento line service.
“Yesterday, we received 8 trains of 9 cars each that arrived in the port of Buenos Aires City. This is a total of 72 cars. With this shipment, it makes 17 out of the 25 trains that the national state purchased for the complete renovation of the Sarmiento. There are 153 new carriages in the country already,” CFK wrote in her official Facebook account calling Argentineans to “take care» of the new trains.
On Wednesday, Cristina Kirchner was forced to cancel all official activities here and a visit to Paraguay that was scheduled for today.
