Minutes after the US Court released its adverse verdict for Argentina in its legal dispute against hedge funds creditors, and in the wake of an official government statement, politicians took their reactions to Twitter.
PRO party lawmaker Federico Pinedo was one of the firsts to tweet: “Our party worked for Argentina and against the vulture [funds], but the Kirchnerite Administration managed the matter with great irresponsibility”.
“The US Court ruling gives stomach aches. Very tough,” he added.
Former vice-president Julio Cobos in turn took on a softer tone, saying the verdict “affects the country deeply and goes beyond the governments”. He added that “both the best and the worst scenario entail a commitment for Argentina that goes beyond this Administration”
“Before any decision-making, the President should call on all sectors and make a joint decision,” Cobos twitted.
Meanwhile, Federal Peronism’s lawmaker Eduardo Amadeo urged the government to keep a cool head. “Vultures: time for serenity. There are solutions, as long as CFK does not use this for domestic politicking. This is not a game!”.
