Buenos Aires province Security Minister Alejandro Granados asserted today that since the security emergency was declared, “the numbers” in the fight against crime “are significantly improving” in the province.
“I do not like statistics at all, but of course I analyze them every day and the numbers are significantly improving,” Granados announced although he said “a single dead person is a disaster”.
The BA official considered security emergency in the province to be “very beneficial” for both the Security Minister and Buenos Aires Police.
Granados praised a series of “unprecedented” decisions like the purchase of 1850 new patrols which he described as “truly unique and spectacular equipment”.
He also endorsed the creation of a municipal police, an idea suggested by several Buenos Aires mayors: “I have no doubt in my mind that mayors will have excelent municipal police forces. We are on the right track,” Granados said.
