Randazzo, ready to be a Victory Front candidate

“I have no double message,” Interior and Transport Minister Florencio Randazzo has said as he confirmed his determination to compete for the presidential chair next year under the ruling Victory Front party ballot.

“I have no double message. If I finally get to optimize the railway system I will be a candidate for president for the Victory Front and it will be the population to decide finally what is the best for Argentina,” the minister told reporters this morning and warned he was making no “speculations” about the 2015 run.

“I am convinced that the best policy is the best way of administration and we have showed there are lots of things that can be transformed in Argentina,” Randazzo affirmed following yesterday’s rally in which President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner inaugurated the renovated San Martín train line.

Meanwhile, Florencio Randazzo analyzed the recent launch of the UNEN-Broad Front Alliance that put together Radical Party and Socialist figures together ahed of next year’s elections.

“I think Argentina needs strong parties,” the minister considered calling for a “serious debate” among political forces to address Argentineans’ main worries and demands instead of promoting “a marketing policy, of false promises and saying what people want to hear without too much basis of sustenance.”
