Capitanich slams prosecutors, judges as ‘they fail to take action against pickets’

Speaking about an anti-picket bill submitted to Congress last week, which has prompted controversy, Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich today assured “it’s not an Executive Branch initiative” although “Congress is the appropriate space for an open, plural and democratic debate.”
In his daily press briefing at the Government House, the head of ministers admitted “society is fed up with small groups of demonstrators blocking traffic.”
“It’s a complex issue,” Capitanich considered and wondered why prosecutors and judges fail to take action against street pickets, if these are already considered a minor crime, categorized in the Penal Code.
