The US currency opened steady at Buenos Aires City banks and exchange offices at 7.82 pesos for sellers. The Central Bank yesterday purchased US$130 million, a move that however has no impacts on Argentina’s international reserves which have shown a US$19-million upward.
Meanwhile, the so called blue dollar that trades in the informal market climbed 45 cents to 12.10 pesos with operations going down sharply since the government announced it was easing the purchase of greenbacks on January 24.
