President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner used Facebook social network to defend the Precios Cuidados price-watch program saying “no one could agree with Argentineans being looted.’
“Being united does not mean to think the same about everything; being united does not mean not having differences; however, no one could agree with Argentineans being looted after the effort we have all made to be here,” she wrote.
An added: “That is why the neighbourhood doesn’t matter. You could be living in Villa Lugano or in Recoleta, and I can assure no one likes to overpay for things,” and then shared a link to the government programme’s Facebook page.
«We must help for this not to happen, because we have worked a lot, because the state, the people have put a lot. Taking care of these achievements is taking care ourselves as a society,” the president concluded.
