Government expands price deal and reaffirms food imports alternative

Jorge CapitanichCabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich assured that the Federal Government will expand the price deal and open food imports if necessary, during a press conference from Government House.

“The goal of this administration is to look after the pocket of the Argentine people”, stated Capitanich.

In that sense, he warned that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will use “all the political measures to guarantee fair prices and good quality of products,” and confirmed that the new price deal “will include school supplies.”

According to Capitanich, the rise of prices “is the result of speculative manoeuvres which affects the consumer.”
