Palermo: Ten people injured in fire

A total of 10 people were treated today following a fire that broke out in a building located in the neighbourhood of Palermo, City of Buenos Aires.

The head of SAME emergency service Alberto Crescenti said rescue teams were working at the place and that a total of 10 people received treatment for early-stage asfixiation; two of which were firefighters who battled the fire.

Of those treated, seven individuals were taken to the nearby Fernández Hospital.

Security Secretary Sergio Berni later confirmed that none of the injuries were serious, and that those assisted had been treated for «inhalation of carbon monoxide.»
