Chaco province governor Jorge Capitanich holds a press conference after the Octber 27 triumph
A significant electoral triumph in October’s midterms for the Victory Front has come to boost presidential chances in 2015 of Chaco province governor Jorge Capitanich. “It is a possibility (running for president) but I have not yet made the decision,” the Kirchnerite said as he ruled out the possibility of integrating the national cabinet of ministers.
Still Capitanich considered that “thinking about 2015 is untimely” and that political focus of the ruling party must be put in “supporting” the Cristina Fernández de Kirchner administration.
Regarding versions that alleged to a possible cabinet shuffle following the October 27 parliamentary elections when the government lost some key electoral districts, the governor showed himself determined to complete his term in office. “I have a term to fulfill in the provincial government and that is what I am going to do; that is what I’ve been chosen for,” Jorge Capitanich affirmed.
