Members present at a meeting with Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli assured that the ticket to preside the Council of the Justicialist Party (PJ) in Buenos Aires province will be defined next Friday, during a reunion that will take place in the intendancy of Tres de Febrero.

While the decision will go to a vote, several municipal leaders have expressed their wish for the provincial chief to take over as PJ president.
Lomas de Zamora Mayor and Victory Front elected lawmaker.Martín Insaurralde stated that: “if the Governor has the will to lead the party in this province, then he definitely should be”.
In addition, Insaurralde added that “It is a very personal decision, but no Peronist leader should be in discordance with that”.
Berazetegui chief Juan Manuel Mussi was another figure to throw his weight behind Scioli. «The PJ president at local level, as well as nationally, should be governor Scioli,» the mayor stated.
The PJ council is currently headed by BA province government minister Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez who was appointed to replace Alberto Balestrini, Scioli’s ex second-in-command who suffered a stroke three years ago.
