Argentine national football team coach Alejandro Sabella has named the 11 players who will start tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against Perú, confirming that Ángel Di Maria will lead the side out as captain in the Monumental.
The Real Madrid winger will be handed the armband in the absence of regular captain Lionel Messi, and Javier Mascherano who has filled in for ‘La Pulga’ on previous occasions.
Speaking in a press conference, Sabella asserted that his team «is very well, with great camaraderie.» However, the coach did point out that the upcoming clashes against Perú and Uruguay «the context… is different,» due to the fact that his charges have already secured qualification to Brazil 2014.
