President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner celebrated ‘Industry Day’ with a dinner among industrial and political leaders in the Tecnopolis exhibition center, Buenos Aires province. and repeated calls for an open exchange of ideas with critics of her government.
Before a huge screen with a sign saying “The future is industry”, Fernández de Kirchner reviewed her government’s achievements and the “economic model with growth goals”.
In addition, the head of state highlighted “the process of reindustrialisation against all odds since the 2008 crisis” and urged the guests that “things were not bad at all for you”, in allusion to the economic growth that the industrial sector accomplished under her administration.
Fernández de Kirchner concluded wishing a successful future “for industry, for the workers and for Argentina”.
The event included Kirchnerite officials such as Vice President Amado Boudou, Industry Minister Débora Giorgi, Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli and primary lawmaker candidate for the province, Martín Insaurralde.
