The US dollar opened unchanged today at banks and exchange offices at 5.41 (buying price) and 5.47 (selling price).
The parallel, or so-called “blue,” dollar exchange rate was lower at 8.48 pesos today to the dollar for buyers, having decreased more than 10 cents compared to last Friday and narrowing the difference with the official dollar exchange rate.
The market was limited for the fourth business day due to alleged pressures from the government that is trying to keep the parallel market in check after it soared during the winter holidays.
