Scioli asks for faith in government: Don’t change horses in middle of the river

scioliBuenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli has called for a «renewed trust» in the government candidates in the next elections, stating «as the farmer says, you don’t change your horse in the middle of the river».

Appearing at a rally in La Plata alongside leading Victory Front candidate for the lower house of Buenos Aires, Martín Insaurralde, Scioli requested «stronger governance» and emphasised: «I ask all of you to renew your trust».

«What other politician, over the last 10 years can show consistency on having maintained the same identity, in the same political space, as I have,» the provincial chief underlined.

Scioli also called on the Victory Front to «unite their efforts and help each other to follow through on the two years remaining [of President Cristina Kirchner’s second term]» and reiterated: «You do not change horses in the middle of the river.»

The governor once more accompanied the Lomas de Zamora mayor on the campaign trail, and he praised Insaurralde as «a fighter» who had managed «extraordinary changes» in his district.

«Martín understands very well the changes and how to maintain what we have achieved,» Scioli explained.

«He is an honest, brave man. With Martín Insaurralde, if we all join him, we are going to continue moving forward in these two years we have left.»

In turn, the Lomas de Zamora mayor spoke in favour of «an agile, dynamic and transparent justice system in order to do much more against crime and insecurity».

He also praised Scioli and said that «he has been working to transform the province».
