CFK blasts political leaders who ‘look the other way’ during a crisis

CristinaWhile attending a rally in Lomas de Zamora, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner questioned political leaders who are “untouched” by the media and who “look the other way” instead of standing by her side during a crisis.

“Some important political leaders in our country always go ‘untouched’ by the media, maybe because they also have their own interest,» she said.

“We shall discover why some politicians are attacked and the others are not.” Fernández said. “I am a bit exhausted by those coy politicians and those who threat me like an idiot. But I’m not tired of governing.”

Followed by those statements, the President recalled the tragic floods in La Plata saying she acted differently than those “who escaped and didn’t want to face the situation as if everything was fine”.

President Fernández assured she was the one who took responsibility though «it wasn’t up to her” and complained about some politicians not defending her. “Don’t take me for an idiot,” she warned.
