Less than a week ahead of the elections that will determine Caracas’ political scenario after the death of Hugo Chávez, Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman will meet with his Venezuelan counterpart Elías Jaua to address current state of bilateral ties.
Offcials will gather at the San Martín Palace in Buenos Aires tomorrow.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the meeting will be marked by the countries’ “positive” stance in relations. Timerman and Jaua are expected to address trade, investment and integration issues as well as the role played by regional blocs CELAC and UNASUR in the process of Venezuela’s integration to MERCOSUR.
Following the meeting, Timerman will offer a luncheon in honor of the Venezuelan official that Federal Planning Minister Julio De Vido, Secretary General to the Presindency Oscar Parrilli and Industry Minister Débora Giorgi are also expected to attend.
