Planning Minister Julio de Vido told reporters this morning that at least 130,000 Buenos Aires City residents remained with no electricity as result of the torrential rains that flooded numerous metropolitan northern neighborhoods and killed six people.
Likewise, the official informed «we have accounted 31,394 outages within the BA City, which leave close to 130,000 residents without electricity.»
To end, De Vido informed that «telephone service providers will face fines for having cut signals vital areas such as La Plata», the most affected zone where so far floods killed 49 people as another 20 remain missing, while over 1,000 are still evacuated fro their homes.
«We detected that land lines were shut off for at least 15 hours in La Plata, while a similar situation happened with cell phone lines. Providers will be fined upon investigation.»
