CFK declares three days of mourning after storm leaves dozens dead

The National Government declared three days of National Mourning in honour of the many people who died by the strong storm “that affected the population of the City of Buenos Aires, the Greater Buenos Aires area and La Plata.”

The three-day period of mourning was made official after President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner signed decree number 341, which will be soon published in the Official Gazette.

This is the second National Mourning period declared by the Government this year. The first one took place a month ago after the passing of Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.
