Vélez Sársfield defeated Peñarol by 3-1 and currently lead the Group 4 with 9 points, closer to the qualification to the next round of the Libertadores Cup 2013.
The score was opened by Peñarol’s Fabián Estoyanoff at 23′ of the first half, but his team-mate Enrique Bologna netted an own goal at 29′, drawing the score.
At 29′ of the second half, Federico Insúa scored Vélez’s second goal, and three minutes later, Jonathan Copete netted the third own, giving the definite victory to the Argentine team.
