Gabriel Mariotto.
Buenos Aires province Deputy Governor Gabriel Mariotto warned that the meeting between Governor Daniel Scioli and former Vice-President Julio Cobos “was a political move” that “doesn’t sit well with the a hundred percent of the Kirchnerites.”
“This doesn’t sit well with a hundred percent of the movement led by our President,” Mariotto said.
During a radio interview, the Deputy Governor said that “it was a political move and not a casual dinner.”
“Everyone is free to have dinner with whomever they feel comfortable with, no one can say who you should or shouldn’t dine with,” he said, adding that “it is natural that some people will not like that photo.”
Mariotto said “you can’t say this was a casual dinner, as if he just walked by a bar, saw him through the window and joined him at the table.”
“I think it’s natural that some people will not like this photo. This doesn’t mean he can’t join the Governor at the table, since he is part of the national project,” he concluded.
