Scioli, Macri inaugurate waste reciclying plant

Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Scioli, and BA City Mayor Mauricio Macri inaugurated today an urban solid waste treatment and recycling plant as part of the two districts agreement intended to reduce the amounts of garbage the City sends to waste fills in Greater Buenos Aires.

After inaugurating the plant located in José León Suárez in Western Greater Buenos Aires district of San Martín, Scioli remarked that the garbage problem “requires some high levels of social responsibility, and that’s why we are also looking for some alternative places to set new fills as well treatment plants.”

Likewise, Scioli remarked that a top-notch technology waste treatment plant is being built in Ensenada, BA province “So it can receive waste loads coming from the BA City”.

On his turn, Macri insisted that “every single citizen at a nationwide level must take the right course of action to make this a green country. That’s why are both administrations are working together.”

The plant inaugurated today has a daily processing capacity of 1,000 tons of which up to 600 can be recycled.
