A Sarmiento line train collided with small lorry as it was crossing the tracks in the City nighbourhood of Floresta. Emergency sources indicated that the lorry’s twenty-eight-year-old driver sustained several injuries.
“He presented several cuts, trauma and a possible broken arm,” explained City’s Emergency Service (SAME) head Doctor Alberto Crescenti.
According to Crescenti, the lorry’s driver was conscious, lucid and was taken to Hospital Vélez Sarsfield.
The collision took place minutes after 6.30 am at the intersection Segurola and the Sarmiento tracks. By 9 am tracks were cleared and the service was back to normal.
