Some flights were delayed out of Aeroparque this morning due to some Air Traffic controllers being on strike.
A lack of Air Traffic controllers at Jorge Newbery Metropolitan airport was causing slight delays on flights across all airlines this morning. Flights did not take off out of the airport from 00.00 am to 6 am this morning due to the workers’ absence.
Flights due to arrive to the airport last night, were redirected to Ezeiza international airport.
Last night, one outgoing LAN flight was cancelled.
This morning, delays of around half an hour were affecting Aerolíneas Argentinas, Austral and LAN departure flights.
Delays on services are likely to affect arrivals and departures throughout today and for the rest of the week due to the small group of Air Traffic controllers’ strike.
