The only suspect in the Cañuelas double-murder case, Fernando Marconi, turned himself in to the La Plata authorities on Tuesday, official police sources confirmed.
The man, who is believed to have been the perpetrator of the gruesome murders showed up before the Guarantees Judge in the Buenos Aires province capital.
The double-murder of the Massa brothers, who owned the “Doña Rosa” supermarket, was committed on Sunday afternoon when two men broke into the store and one of them killed both of them in front of other costumers.
The two men escaped without stealing anything. Based on the perpetrators’ behaviour, police authorities have determined that the attack could have been motivated by revenge, and connected it to a robbery that took place at the supermarket in 2004.
